Renovation Project of Xining-Ge’ermu Section on Qinghai-Tibet Railway Completed Halfway

While chilly winter winds blow on Qinghai Lake, a joint construction team, consisting of China Railway Qinghai-Tibet Group Co., Ltd. and other construction crews are working painstakingly in a well-organized and conscientious way to renovate facilities on the section along the Qinghai Lake of Qinghai-Tibet Railway. At the same time, the construction team is also renovating and enlarging the building in Delingha Railway Station while replacing the turnouts in Wulan Railway Station. Up to date, the renovation project of Xining-Ge’ermu section on Qinghai-Tibet Railway is halfway complete.

　　 To improve the transportation capacity of Qinghai-Tibet Railway and better serve the economic and social development along the line, on June 21, 2022, the renovation project of the Xining-Ge’ermu section on Qinghai-Tibet Railway commenced. The Xining-Ge’ermu section stretches 742.94km with 21 stations. The renovation project mainly repairs the existing sub-grade problems, reinforces the passenger transport facilities at the intermediate stations such as Huangyuan, Haiyan, Delingha, and replaces or reconstructs the railway supporting facilities such as power supply, communication, and signaling along the line.
