Track Laying on China-Russia Tongjiang-Nizhneleninskoye Railway Bridge Completed

  At 9:58 on August 17, at the construction site of the China-Russia Tongjiang-Nizhneleninskoye Railway Bridge, with the last set of joint bars installed on the standard-gauge railway between China and Russia, the track laying of the first cross-river railway bridge between China and Russia - China-Russia Tongjiang-Nizhneleninskoye Railway Bridge was officially completed, laying a solid foundation for the opening-to-traffic of the whole bridge.

  The newly-built bridge is located between Tongjiang City in Heilongjiang Province, China and the Nizhneleninskoye City in Russia. The total length of the bridge is 7,194m, including an approach bridge of 4,979m and a main bridge of 2,215m (1,886m in China and 329m in Russia). The design operation speed is 100km/h, and the annual freight capacity is 21 million tons. The construction of the bridge started in February 2014, the main works of the China section were completed in October 2018, and all acceptance procedures such as static acceptance, dynamic acceptance, preliminary acceptance and safety assessment were completed in July 2019.
