Track-laying Completed on Yinchuan-Xi'an High Speed Railway

  At 9: 30 on August 26, the last set of 500m long rail was laid on Huangjiagou Bridge in Ningxian County, Qingyang City, Gansu Province, which marks the connection between Gansu-Ningxia section and Shaanxi section of Yinchuan-Xi'an HSR. So far, the track-laying works of Yinchuan-Xi'an HSR has been successfully completed. 
  With construction commenced at the end of 2015, Yinchuan-Xi'an HSR starts from Xi'an in Shaanxi Province in the south, passes through Xianyang in Shaanxi Province, Qingyang in Gansu Province and Wuzhong in Ningxia in the northwest, and then connects to Yinchuan in Ningxia. The HSR has a total length of 618 km, including 425 km Gansu-Ningxia section and 193 km Shaanxi section. It has a design speed of 250 km/h, and the speed-up conditions are designed for upgrading into a ballasted HSR with a speed of 350km/h in the future.
  Upon opening to traffic, Yinchuan-Xi'an HSR will reduce the train travel time between Xi'an and Yinchuan from the current 14 hours to about 3 hours.
