Significant Increase in Number of Cross-border Trains Operated Between China and Vietnam

Published:2020-08-28

Since the beginning of this year, the number of China-Vietnam cross-border trains has increased significantly. As of the end of July, a total of 96 such trains have been operated; 2632 containers have been transported with a year-on-year increase of 236.6%. The China-Vietnam cross-border train has gradually become a “through train” for economic and trade exchanges between China and ASEAN countries.

Early this year, Guangxi added Pingxiang Railway Port to the list of ports of entry for Thai fruits exported to China via a third country. Learning of the new customs clearance policy from the customs department, China Railway Nanning Group Co., Ltd. actively promoted the direct transportation of inbound fruit by railway to cross-border fruit trading companies. Besides, it also formed a special marketing team, which visited manufacturers, worked out transportation and loading programs for customers, and provided sufficient containers for fresh products to ensure timely delivery of goods.
