According to the requirements of China State Railway Group Co., Ltd. on strengthening the epidemic prevention and control in railway sector and overcoming difficulties and completing all the objectives and tasks for the whole year, since March, China Railway Kunming Group Co., Ltd. has focused on both the prevention and control of the imported overseas covid-19 cases and the increase of international through traffic at the China-Vietnam Border Hekou Port, so as to ensure the safety and smoothness of international through traffic while strictly implementing the epidemic prevention and control measures.
In order to accurately prevent the cross-border imported cases and help enterprises resume work and production, China Railway Kunming Group Co., Ltd., focusing both on the epidemic prevention and control and the transportation and production, has taken effective measures to ensure the smooth traffic at the port while preventing the imported cases, and has contributed the railway sector's forces to win the battle of epidemic prevention and control and to achieve the economic and social development goals in 2020.
China Railway Kunming Group Co., Ltd. has done a good job in preventing and controlling the imported overseas cases. It has assigned special staff to check the disinfection condition in key areas such as the joint inspection building and overseas vehicles. It has strictly followed the requirement of "full coverage, without omission", implemented measures such as temperature taking, mask distribution, and food supply for passengers crossing the border by Vietnam Railway, and has arranged fixed through traffic handover staff, fixed work areas, and fixed observation period to ensure that the prevention measures for imported overseas cases at port stations is in place. As of March 16, China Railway Kunming Group Co., Ltd. has monitored temperature of Vietnam Railway staff for 146 times, issued 64 masks, served 49 meals and disinfected 53 cars (1,558 square meters).
China Railway Kunming Group Co., Ltd. has actively reported to CHINA RAILWAY, strengthened its communication and coordination with local government, customs and Vietnam railway authorities, held discussions with them on strengthening freight source organization, improving customs clearance efficiency and implementing inspection and quarantine measures. It has strengthened the organization for international through traffic transport, coordinated with Vietnam side to adopt the double-locomotive push-pull and extended-formation freight train in Shanyao-Kaiyuan section, so as to realize the goal of reducing the number of operated trains without reducing the freight volume. It has worked hard to realize the goal of operating two pairs of CRE trains per day, and jointly ensured the smoothness on the international logistics corridor for CRE trains. Since March, China Railway Kunming Group Co., Ltd. registers a daily car loading of 244 cars on meter-gauge railway, an increase of 52 cars year on year, a freight delivery of 73,369 tons, up 12,808 tons year on year, and a freight revenue of RMB 8.39 million, up RMB 2.49 million year on year. As of March 16, China Railway Kunming Group Co., Ltd. has operated 217 CRE trains this year with a freight delivery of 85,000 tons.
