Published:2020-03-19

Since the operation of the first dedicated train for migrant workers returning to work on February 18, China Railway Kunming Group Co., Ltd. has operated a total of 18 migrant-worker dedicated trains as of March 6. Plus the 222 carriages customized by government authorities in Yunnan and Zhejiang, it has transported a total of 28,000 migrant workers to the Yangtze River Delta and Pearl River Delta regions for work.

According to the actual situation of epidemic prevention and control and the travel needs of passengers, China Railway Kunming Group Co., Ltd. has actively communicated and coordinated with the local government to scientifically develop transportation plans, and has improved the epidemic prevention and control measures and passenger services at stations and on the trains. It has provided safe and orderly "point to point" transport for migrant workers returning to work, and has promoted the employment of migrant workers while ensuring the epidemic prevention and control.

To minimize the spread risk of the epidemic, the railway sector has refined the service measures for migrant workers in check-in, waiting, boarding, check-out and other links, organized staff to guide them for check-in, increased temperature monitoring equipment, and set up special waiting areas for them. Kunming South Station, Qujing North Station, Dali Station and Lijiang Station have set up the emergency teams composed of Party members to guide the migrant workers for orderly check-in (by scanning QR codes) and boarding at security checks, waiting hall and platforms.

On the train, the crew members have guided the migrant workers to wear masks throughout the journey, reduce the frequency of walking in the carriages and sit separately. At the same time, these stations have strengthened the cleaning and disinfection in the carriages, provided the protective articles such as disinfectants, hand sanitizers, thermometers and commonly used drugs, and strengthened the temperature monitoring, epidemic prevention and services for migrant workers throughout the journey.
