On September 23, at the construction site of Bridge No. 1 of the Harbin-Suifenhe Railway renovation project, the completion of the final pier marked the full transition of the section from Suifenhe to the border of the CRE Train's Harbin-Suifenhe Railway renovation into the pier construction phase, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent beam erection and track laying.
The Harbin-Suifenhe Railway starts in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province, and ends in the border city of Suifenhe. It is one of the critical transport corridors for CRE trains.
The railway port handles an annual cargo volume exceeding 10 million tons, with nearly 900 CRE trains passing through each year, transporting 88,000 TEUs. The renovation project for the section from Suifenhe to the border is located in Suifenhe, Heilongjiang, along the eastern segment of the Harbin-Suifenhe Railway. The current line has steep gradients and small curve radii, with trains operating at a maximum speed of only 55 km/h. After renovation, the design speed of the line will reach 120 km/h, more than doubling its capacity and effectively alleviating the transport bottleneck.
