At 10:38 a.m. on December 30, 2022, the first EMU Train G9230 departed from Xueye Railway Station, marking the start of operations for the Jinan- Laiwu High Speed Railway, which takes merely 42 minutes to travel between the two cities.

　　The Jinan-Laiwu High Speed Railway is an integral part of the Union Jack-shaped high speed railway network in Jinan, the capital of Shandong Province. Connected to the Shijiazhuang-Jinan High Speed Railway and the Jinan-Qingdao High Speed Railway through the Jinandong Railway Station, it is part of the national high speed railway network. The Jinan-Laiwu High Speed Railway is of great significance in facilitating people’s travel along the line, building “Shandong on railways”, and promoting the integrated development of the provincial capital economic circle.
