On December 31, the Chongli-Heichengzi Section on the Taizicheng-Xilinhaote Railway commenced construction, marking the start of construction on the entire railway. Upon completion, the railway will upgrade its network in northern Hebei Province and eastern Inner Mongolia. The railway will be connected with multiple lines such as the Beijing-Zhangjiakou High Speed Railway, Jining-Tongliao Railway and Xilinhaote-Wulanhaote Railway, etc., which will greatly facilitate the travel of people along the line. The new railway is of great significance in strengthening exchanges between eastern Inner Mongolia and the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, promoting rural revitalization, urban-rural integration and balanced regional development.
