On May 13, the long rail welding of Yuxi-Mohan Section of China-Laos Railway was completed, laying a solid foundation for the opening-to-traffic of the whole line.
The Yuxi-Mohan Section of the China-Laos Railway is 508 km long in total, requiring 1780 km of 500m long rails. All of them are welded at the Huanglongshan Welding Base of China Railway Kunming Group Co., Ltd. in the eastern suburb of Kunming, and then transported to the site by long rail transport vehicles to ensure the smooth track laying.
