Satisfying Spring Festival Travel Rush: Boosting Economic Vitality

Published:2024-04-04

On March 5, the Second Session of the Fourteenth National People's Congress opened at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. Nearly 3,000 NPC deputies from across the country gathered in Beijing to discuss national affairs and offer suggestions. In interviews with the media, many deputies highlighted the role of convenient transportation in driving economic development and praised the new initiatives in railway transportation during the Spring Festival travel rush.

"Online seat selection, facial recognition for boarding, and QR code payments for meals delivered onboard have truly brought convenience to travel," said Huang Yunna, an NPC deputy and coach at the Weaving Workshop of Shaanxi Five Rings (Group) Industrial Co., Ltd., reflecting on her travel experience during this year's Spring Festival.

The improvement in travel experience stems from the upgrade in services. During this year's Spring Festival travel rush, the railway authority introduced eight measures to provide convenient and beneficial services to passengers, with a continuous focus on ticket purchasing and information services. As an integral part of station services, onboard dining services on high speed trains will feature regional delicacies, enriching the journey with delightful culinary experiences that reflect local flavors.
