Railway Sector Provides All-around Special Services for Elderly Passengers
To further improve the quality of passenger transport services, the railway sector has made efforts especially for the elderly passengers, providing them with all-around thoughtful services in terms of ticket purchase, check-in, waiting, boarding, etc.
The railway sector has opened special windows at stations, providing services such as ticket purchase in cash and endorsement for elderly passengers with priority. China Railway Shenyang Group Co., Ltd. and China Railway Hohhot Group Co., Ltd. also open special ticket purchase windows for the elderly and set up signs such as “for the elderly” at the conspicuous positions of the station entrances, ticket offices, and waiting rooms. There are also staff at stations to provide services such as guidance for the elderly passengers, helping the elderly who have no access to the internet to purchase and check their tickets.
