CR-Harbin: Facilitating Grain Transportation from Northeast China with More Routes and Transportation Capacity

Published:2024-04-17

On April 10 at 22:13, the No.40784 freight train, loaded with 3,250 tons of grain, departed from Fujin Railway Station in Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province, heading southward, transporting grain from the fertile land of Heilongjiang to various destinations in the south. Starting from 18:00 on the same day, the new freight train operation schedule was implemented nationwide, further enhancing the transportation capacity and quality of freight trains on the Harbin railway and ensuring the busy but smooth flow of grain transportation channels.

Heilongjiang Province boasts the Songnen and Sanjiang plains, with vast expanses of black soil and abundant water and land resources. The province's grain production, trade volume, and outbound shipments have consistently ranked first in the country, serving as a cornerstone of national food security. In this schedule adjustment, the Jiamusi-Fu'an Railway, as a vital grain transportation route, saw an increase in the number of freight trains to 27 pairs, with a utilization rate of 99.32% for the section. Additionally, the Suihua-Jiamusi Railway and Harbindong-Bei'an Railway, serving as rearward grain transportation channels, added 4 pairs of freight trains, bringing the total to 36 pairs, effectively assisting in grain outbound transportation and ensuring national food security.

To ensure seamless coordination between dispatching command and on-site operations, CR-Harbin has emphasized strengthening the training of dispatching personnel, familiarizing them with the changes in the schedule and enhancing the precision of dispatching command. Dispatchers are required to strictly adhere to the schedule to improve the punctuality of trains. CR-Harbin has also implemented seven work lists, including formulating freight transportation demand reports and train operation suggestions, with a focus on reporting freight transportation demands, accepting, allocating space, loading, handling, and delivering, to provide accurate feedback on the actual situation to the dispatching department, achieving deep integration of dispatching command and on-site operations, and making dispatching command more refined and on-site operations smoother. Furthermore, CR-Harbin has integrated the management of freight service complaints and requests of the 95306 platform into a unified platform, establishing a rapid response mechanism for timely resolution, optimizing production organization through public feedback, which enabled them to improve the quality of freight services and enhance customer experience.

With railway schedule adjustments, channels are opened up and transportation capacity is enhanced. Moving forward, CR-Harbin will continue to play its role in transportation planning and coordination, deepen the integration of "freight transportation and operation" and "passenger vehicle scheduling" mechanisms. By strengthening transportation organization and guarantee, CR-Harbin will strive to enhance modern logistics support capabilities and continuously provide robust momentum for the high-speed operation of the national economy.
