On June 18, Datong-Qinhuangdao Railway registered a daily traffic of 1.3842 million tons, setting a new record for the single-day traffic since its completion, which is 16,000 tons more than its previous record set on June 10, 2018.
Facing the increasing supply of goods at present, the railway sector has seized this favorable opportunity and taken multiple measures to exploit the freight potential, so as to fully promote the freight traffic increase. After the centralized repair, Datong-Qinhuangdao Railway has resumed its full transport capacity. Taking this advantage, the railway sector has made every effort to meet the increasing freight demands, and further improved the train formation efficiency to operate the high-quality 10,000-ton trains. On June 18, there were 105 trains passing through Chawu Station on Datong-Qinhuangdao Railway, including sixty-eight 20,000-ton trains, six 15,000-ton trains, eight 10,000-ton unit trains, seven 10,000-ton combined trains, and 16 small-formation trains. Hudong No. 2 Yard on Datong-Qinhuangdao Railway has dispatched sixty-eight 20,000-ton trains, including 53 high-quality 20,000-ton trains and 41 trains with the same destination.
As of June 18, the traffic volume of Datong-Qinhuangdao Railway in June reached 22,992,200 tons, up 1,874,200 tons (8.87%) year-on-year.
