Railway Mobile Cold Storage Supports Rural Revitalization in Lankao

Beijing, March 1 (Reported by Xu Yuanyuan, Chen Shan, and Gao Kai) - To overcome the deficiencies in the "first mile" of cold chain logistics and further enhance the modernization of the rural industry chain supply chain, on March 1, China Railway Special Cargo Logistics Co., Ltd.'s mobile cold storage project officially landed in Lankao County, Henan Province. This is a vivid practice of the company's vigorous development of a mobile cold storage business to support rural revitalization. This action significantly reduced the transportation cost of agricultural products, effectively promoting the development of local characteristic agriculture.

　　As a national commodity grain production base county, Lankao's vegetables, fruits, fungi, and other agricultural products are highly favored by the market. However, due to the previous lack of advanced cold storage and preservation facilities, agricultural products would suffer quality losses during transportation and sales, causing troubles for farmers and enterprises. In response, China Railway Special Cargo Logistics Co., Ltd., leveraging its technical advantages, invested in four mobile cold storage units integrating refrigeration, heating, insulation, and storage, and placed them in vegetable planting bases and processing enterprises in various towns and villages of Lankao. These mobile cold storage units not only have a novel appearance but also are favored by local farmers and enterprises for their low comprehensive cost, short investment cycle, and flexible and convenient use.

　　It is understood that these mobile cold storage units can be customized according to different needs, making them suitable for specialty agricultural products storage and other refrigeration needs. They have reduced the spoilage rate of agricultural products by 25% to 50%, increased storage time by 3 to 5 times, and effectively improved the quality of fruits and vegetables, enhancing the market competitiveness of products.

　　At the training session held at the site of the completion of the mobile cold storage project, China Railway Special Cargo Logistics Co., Ltd. conducted technical training and explained key operation points to vegetable planting bases, processing enterprises, and farmers in various towns and villages of Lankao through on-site demonstrations and interactive exchanges. "We used to worry about refrigeration and preservation, but now with the mobile cold storage, we can put vegetables into the cold storage for preservation with no worries," said an excited employee of Zhangzhuang Village Vegetable Processing Factory in Lankao County.
