Special Exhibition on the China-Laos Railway Unveiled at the Chinese Railway Museum

On December 3, the “Belt and Road Railway Wonders - Special Exhibition on the China-Laos Railway” opened at the East Suburb Pavilion of the Chinese Railway Museum. The exhibition, sponsored by the Chinese Railway Museum and CR-Kunming, is guided by the Publicity Department of the CPC Committee of CR.

Upon entering the East Suburb Pavilion of the Chinese Railway Museum, visitors are greeted by large-scale photos of Kunmingnan Railway Station and Vientiane Railway Station. The exhibition hall, spanning over 400 square meters, is divided into four chapters: “Crossing Mountains and Rivers, Bridging Connections,” “One Station, One View, Shared Beauty,” “Golden Corridor, Interconnected Pathways,” and “Belt and Road Artery, Co-Creating the Future.” These chapters showcase the remarkable achievements of the China-Laos Railway in infrastructure construction, passenger and freight transportation, cultural exchanges, and more, highlighting the fruitful results of building a shared destiny between China and Laos.

The China-Laos Railway has achieved outstanding results since its opening. As of December 2, the railway has maintained a stable record in transportation safety, with a cumulative total of 24.2 million passengers transported, including 3.74 million in the Laos segment. Additionally, 29.1 million tons of goods have been transported, with over 6 million tons being cross-border freight.

As people enjoy their journeys and goods flow smoothly, the golden passage effect of the China-Laos Railway is increasingly prominent. This railway, heading to development, happiness, and friendship, carrying the friendship, dreams, and hopes of the people of China and Laos, is providing a strong impetus for the rapid economic development of the regions along the route.
