Nanning, April 8 (Reported by Pang Geping and Mo Yujie) - According to statistics from CR-Nanning, in the first quarter, the China-Vietnam freight train transported 1,594 TEUs, an increase of 82% year-on-year. This strong growth momentum has supported the transportation between China and Vietnam, promoting their economic and trade exchanges.

Since the beginning of this year, the continuous warming of economic and trade exchanges between China and Vietnam has expanded the cooperation fields, with new growth points emerging in cross-border railway freight transportation. Among them, there has been an increase in export goods such as electrical transmission towers, significant growth in the export of chemical products and fiberboard, and Guangxi products such as beverages, beer, and auto parts have been sold to Vietnam via the Nanning-Guilin "next-morning arrival" express freight trains, connecting to the China-Vietnam freight trains. These increases have maintained cross-border freight transportation between China and Vietnam at high levels of operation. In March, the China-Vietnam fast clearance freight train transported over 900 TEUs, reaching a new historical high for monthly shipment volume. Currently, a total of 620 types of imported and exported goods have passed through the Pingxiang railway port.

To meet the diversified transportation needs of cross-border goods between China and Vietnam, CR-Nanning has added transport container types such as frame coil steel containers, insulated containers, tank containers, 50-foot containers, and soybean meal containers. This allows for the conversion of entire vehicle loads of beverages and chemicals into containerized shipments, improving the convenience of freight transportation. Meanwhile, value-added services have been introduced, covering free reinforcement, temporary storage, extended free storage periods for self-provided cross-border containers, and so forth. Diverse loading schemes such as bulk, full vehicle, and container loading are provided to ensure safe, efficient, convenient, and cost-effective freight transportation. In addition, a China-Vietnam freight train marketing team has been established to optimize cargo handling procedures and achieve offline "one-stop processing". Additionally, priority handling, priority container loading, and priority ticketing are provided for cross-border cargo transportation between China and Vietnam to enhance customer transportation experience.
