Over 1000 Sea-Rail Intermodal Trains Operated on the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor This Year

       Nanning, February 8 (Reported by Zhang Yunhe) - According to Beibu Gulf Port Co.,Ltd., on February 2, the number of sea-rail intermodal trains operated on the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor exceeded 1000 for the first time in 2024, representing an 83% year-on-year increase. In January this year, a total of 978 sea-rail intermodal trains were operated on the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor, marking an 87.7% year-on-year increase and achieving a strong start for the year.

  In 2024, the number of intermodal trains operating on routes connecting the Chongqing-Guangxi High Speed Railway, Sichuan-Guangxi High Speed Railway, Yunnan-Guangxi High Speed Railway, and Guizhou-Guangxi High Speed Railway, as well as those railways within the northwest and Guangxi regions, has shown a significant positive growth trend. The growth rates of trains on the Chongqing-Guangxi High Speed Railway and within Guangxi have even reached triple digits, with year-on-year increases of 117.1% and 132.7%, respectively. Currently, the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor transports 1143 types of goods, reaching 70 cities and 145 railway stations in 18 provinces domestically, and connecting to 495 ports in 120 countries and regions internationally.
