The First Taiyuan-Moscow CRE Train Begins Service

Taoyuan, March 30 (Reported by Fan Xuhui and Wang Kaiwen) - On the morning of March 28, a CRE train carrying 55 containers departed from the Huanhouyuan Railway Station in Taiyuan on the special railway line of the Shanxi Bureau of the National Food and Strategic Reserves Administration, bound for the Russian capital, Moscow. This marks the inaugural service of the Taiyuan-Moscow CRE train launched by Shanxi.

The train consisted of 55 carriages and exited via the Erenhot Railway Port, covering nearly 5000 kilometers in total. The cargo includes cast iron parts and kaolin produced in Shanxi, as well as auto parts, refrigerators, washing machines, bicycles, and other products from surrounding areas, totaling up to 29 varieties. It is the most diverse shipment since Shanxi started operating CRE trains.

To quickly gather cargo and efficiently operate the train, CR-Taiyuan closely cooperated with Huayuan International Land Port Group, the Shanxi Bureau of the National Food and Strategic Reserves Administration, and the Taiyuan Branch of CRCT, leveraging advantages in cargo collection, dispatch, and transportation organization to ensure the high-quality operation of the CRE train.

"The cargo variety on this train is extensive. Starting from cargo aggregation, we tailored customized loading plans according to the requirements of the shippers," said Shang Weiwei, head of the Taiyuanbei Sales Department of the Taiyuan Railway Logistics Center. They continuously streamlined transportation channels, optimized transportation organization processes, and increased vehicle loading rates to ensure the safe and timely arrival of goods at their destinations.

It is reported that Shanxi has established 15 regular international intermodal routes through 5 ports including Manzhouli, Erenhot, Horgos, Alataw Pass, and Mohan, forming an international logistics service system connecting more than 40 major cities in 16 countries. This injects strong momentum into Shanxi's better integration into the "Belt and Road" Initiative (BRI) and promotes the rise of the central region at a higher starting point.
