Launch of Sino-French Cultural Exchange Freight Train

 
    
      On March 1, coinciding with the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and France, a freight train named "YXE" departed from Yiwuxi Railway Station in Jinhua, Zhejiang, carrying artworks such as paintings, calligraphy, and porcelain for cultural exchange between China and France. The train will transit through Duisburg, Germany, and is scheduled to arrive in Paris, France, 20 days later.

  In recent years, Yiwuxi Railway Station in Jinhua, Zhejiang has successfully operated several customized freight trains tailored to specific customer demands, including the "Tea Express," "JD.com Express," "CMEC New Energy Express," "Sino-Western Cultural Exchange Express," and "Sino-Western Diplomatic Anniversary Express."

  Over the past 60 years of diplomatic relations between China and France, bilateral trade has increased by over 800 times. Today, trains like the "YXE" traverse mountains and seas, shuttling between Yiwu and France, carrying 2.1 million types of goods manufactured in Yiwu, and returning with high-quality goods such as wine and cosmetics from France, all converging at Yiwu China Imported Commodity Trade Plaza. According to Yiwu Customs statistics, the throughput trade volume between Yiwu and France reached 4.69 billion yuan in 2023, a year-on-year increase of 12.7%.
