At present, the CRE trains originating from Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area are increasing and their radiation scope is still expanding. The CRE trains originating from Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area now connect more than 10 major cities in Asia and Europe, such as Moscow, Minsk, Warsaw and Hamburg, and cover more than 30 countries and regions. These trains have further solidified the Greater Bay Area pan-European transport network, with the main terminals distributed in the Pearl River Delta, reaching Europe in the west and Russia in the north, providing more transport options for local enterprises' export trade.
Under the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic, more and more traders are shifting their imports and exports to CRE trains. In the second half of 2020, CRE trains originating from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area remained high, with at least three CRE trains originating each week from Dalang Station in Guangzhou and Shilong Station in Dongguan, and two CRE trains originating each week from Pinghu South Station in Shenzhen. The CRE trains have transported the exported light industrial products produced in the Pearl River Delta of China, and imported timber, grain and other cargoes back from Russia, Poland, Germany, the Netherlands, etc.
