CHINA RAILWAY Express Train (Jinhua-Moscow) Launched

At 13:30 on July 1, a CRE train loaded with 100 TEUs of cargoes departed from Jinhua South Station, heading for Moscow, the Russian capital over 10,000 km away, which marks the launching of a new CRE train route (Jinhua-Moscow) in the Yangtze River Delta. Following this move, Jinhua South Station has become the second freight station with a CRE train route in Zhejiang Province after Yiwu West Station.

This CRE train carrying chemical fiber textiles, toys, auto parts and various household items is scheduled to arrive in Moscow in 11 days, saving about a half of journey time compared to sea transport. Following this train, it is planned to run 2 CRE trains from Jinhua South Station every day, helping the import and export trade and export-oriented economy in Zhejiang and even the Yangtze River Delta.

In recent years, the international freight train services in Jinhua have increased steadily, covering not only the city itself but also the surrounding areas in Zhejiang, including the cities of Zhuji, Ningbo and Wenzhou, which have boosted the city's foreign trades.

According to Xing Xiaobing, the director of Jinhua Operation Office in Jinhua Freight Center, China Railway Shanghai Group Co., Ltd., in the first few months in 2020, Jinhua Operation Office has actively organized its supplies of goods and deployed its freight capacity, giving the international freight trains priorities in inspection, disinfection, vehicle allocation, loading and coupling for transport, and providing these trains with a customized “one-on-one”, "one-stop" "one package" service. As of June 30, the operation office has operated 54 international freight trains (4,746 TEUs) this year.
