At 11:27 on June 8, No. 1287 CRE train loaded with 82 TEUs of daily necessities, electronic products and other goods departed from the standard-gauge yard of Erenhot International Port Station, heading to Kutno, Poland, marking that the CRE trains have imported and exported over 80,000 TEUs of cargoes via Erenhot International Port Station.
As of June 8, the Erenhot International Port Station has received and dispatched 804 CRE trains this year, up 23.9% year on year. Among them, 465 CRE trains are inbound trains, up 29.2% year on year, and 339 CRE trains are outbound trains, up 17.3% year on year. These CRE trains have transported 82,838 TEUs of cargoes, up 41.7% year on year.
At present, there are 36 CRE train routes crossing the Chinese border via Erenhot International Railway Port, involving more than 25 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities across the country, making Erenhot International Railway Port an important freight trade corridor in China. Since the beginning of this year, the Erenhot International Port Station of China Railway Hohhot Group Co., Ltd. has made all efforts to improve its transportation efficiency. It has strengthened the communication with the customs, border inspection agency and freight forwarding companies to timely coordinate on any existing problems, which has significantly improved the efficiency of entry and exit inspection and freight bill release.
At present, Erenhot International Port Station is capable of 93% release of outbound CRE trains per day upon their arrival and 89% release of inbound CRE trains per two days upon their arrival, which has strongly supported the construction of the Belt and Road Initiative and ensured the smooth traffic flow on the international freight corridors.
